Lazer X Drop-In After School Child Care

With the Alamance-Burlington School System opening schools under the Plan C reopening plan, starting August 17, 2020, Lazer X would like to offer a Drop In-Child Care option to parents who need help coordinating care for their school aged children in Grades 1 and up.

Ages Accepted & Business Hours

This service will be available Monday - Friday from 3:30pm - 6:30pm for school aged children in Grades 1 and up.  We offer after school care on either a drop-in or pre-paid/pre-scheduled basis.


Registration and Release Agreement is required to be filled out on your first visit.  We will keep this form on file for future visits.


We will limit the number of children in our care at any one time to no more than 25.  First come, first serve unless you choose the Pre-Paid option.

Rates/Fees

Standard Rates:

1 child = $9/hr; 2 children = $14/hr; 3 children = $16/hr; 4 children = $18/hr.  


Pre-paid Rates:  Prepay to guarantee your spot on a given day and time.  No refunds for no shows:

1 child = $8/hr; 2 children = $12/hr; 3 children = $14/hr; 4 children = $16/hr.  

Rates are figured on 30-minute intervals

What is Included

Study Rooms with Internet Access - each child needs to bring their own computer, school supplies, and anything else they need to do their school work


Lazer Tag and Lazer Maze - All you can play Tag and Maze included.  Arcade games are not included.  Parents will be responsible for providing money to their child for the Arcade


Unlimited Water Bottles Included - Parents are required to supply any meals or snacks to their child.  No nut based products, please!

Security

We follow strict pick-up procedures. The person picking up a child must be on the authorized pick up list. The same person who drops off must pick up, unless we are notified at the time of drop off that someone else will be picking the child up. We check photo I.D. to verify identity. We will not release a child to anyone who is not on the authorized pick up list or to anyone that appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Payment

Payment is due when you pick-up your child unless you pre-paid. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, & Discover.  We charge $1 per minute for every minute your child stays past closing time. 

Health Policy

  • Mask are required to be worn while in the building, unless you are actively eating or drinking.  Exceptions need to be cleared with the staff before dropping you child off.
  • In the best interest of our children and staff members, we ask that you do not bring an ill child to Lazer X. 
  • A full explanation of our Sick Policy can be found here. 
  • If your child is too sick for school, they are too sick for Lazer X. 
  • Lazer X reserves the right to refuse ill children. A parent will be contacted immediately to pick up a child that becomes ill while at Lazer X.
  • We do not administer medication of any kind.
